The Super Bowl XLVII happens to be one of the most thrilling chases in the history of the NFL. The encounter between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens met with a series of unprecedented events, adding more excitement to the game. Although Colin Kaepernick and his defense had to taste defeat, Niners wideout Ted Ginn Jr. believes Beyoncé was the reason he was deprived of a Super Bowl ring.

It was the first time in Super Bowl history that power went off during the third quarter of the game, with the Ravens leading the hunt by a score of 28-6. There was a 22-minute power outage delaying the game for more than 34 minutes. The power failure happened while there were over 13 minutes left in the clock to wind up the quarter. Although power generators were later used for backup lighting, Ginn believes the entire squad got distracted.
And specifically, Beyoncé’s power-packed performance with full lights and sound systems added more reasons to it. Soon the conspiracy theories started floating that Beyonce’s stellar performance triggered the power systems to go off.
While speaking to the Bleacher Report’s Adam Lefkoe on The Lefkoe Show, the wideout acknowledged his host’s comments on Beyonce’s possible involvement in the power outage. “I don’t think everyone remembers you were on that 2011 49ers team, which is one of the most talented teams ever,” Lefkoe said. “And then Beyonce knocks the power out, the Ravens beat you in the Super Bowl. If that power outage doesn’t happen, Ted Ginn …” he asked.
Instantly, Ginn responded, saying they would have won the game despite a big deficit in the score. “We’d have won that,” Ginn said. “We gave them time to re-warm up, get back right,” he said. “We were over there like, ‘Hurry up and get the power back on, man, we are ready to go!'” he added. Interestingly, that was the only Super Bowl appearance that Colin Kaepernick made in his career.
Colin Kaepernick desperately wants to complete the unfinished business
The Super Bowl XLVII was not only known for Beyonce’s performance and power outages. However, it is also called a game of head coaching brothers between Jim Harbaugh of the Niners and John Harbaugh of the Ravens. It was a clash between these two head coaches where John Harbaugh came out victorious with a score of 34-31.

Interestingly, after 9 years down the line, Colin Kaepernick and Jim Harbaugh, who is currently working as the head coach of Michigan Wolverines, joined hands to arrange a workout session for his former signal-caller this off-season. It was a desperate attempt from Kaepernick to make an NFL comeback after staying away for more than five years.

Moreover, he also vowed to complete his unfinished business by winning a Super Bowl. All he needs is a chance to get in, a door to walk through. “I need to finish that,” Kaepernick said per USA Today. “My mentality isn’t just to go out, ‘Oh I want to compete.’ No, I want to win a championship. I know that it might take different paths to get there. But I whole-heartedly believe Imma make that happen.” he said. As of now, no teams seem to have approached him, and his future in the NFL remains uncertain.
