The revival hopes of Colin Kaepernick have now become a no-show. Even though the athlete-turned-activist made his best case for an NFL return. Although, he’s still using his time in the best way possible. Aside from his different ventures, Kaepernick adds more to his qualifications. He will secure his honorary degree and will officially receive the title of ‘Doctor’.

The 2022 offseason had a dramatic ride that blew the fans. Colin Kaepernick was like the cherry on top of all the buzz. Just like in past years, he tried to make his case for an NFL return. Although this time, he tried to hit the next level by practicing with present and erstwhile NFL athletes. On top of that, Kap impressed everyone with the performance he put on display.

 

In recent times, Morgan State University President David K. Wilson announces the big news. The university made a statement, in which they called Kaepernick an ‘exemplary vanguard’. On Saturday, May 21, he will receive honorary doctorates at the 145th Spring Commencement ceremony at Hughes Memorial Stadium.

Moreover, the university would present the degree to the former NFL QB and human rights activist, alongside entrepreneur David Burton and Filmmaker David Talbert. Morgan State honors Kaepernick for his dedication to equality and his entrepreneurship and asset efforts.

They will award Colin Kaepernick a Doctor of Humane Letters degree for his work as an activist. Believe it or not, Kap had a gigantic impact on the people after he took the stance for his silent protests. Even though it cost him his trailblazing NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers, he will not stop after what transpired.

Colin Kaepernick and his secondary ventures

While Kaepernick’s NFL dreams have now turned into dust, he has a lot of other things to work on. While staying away from the action, the former NFL QB established three companies: Know Your Rights Camp, Ra Vision Media, and Kaepernick Publishing. He has now transitioned himself as an author, who is progressing in his second memoir, and working for the community.

Kap has kept himself in high-profile endorsements and charitable work. Kaepernick has also worked with Ben and Jerry’s, MusclePharm, McDonald’s, Beats by Dre, Jaguar Electronic Arts (EA), Amazon, Apple, and Disney, besides Nike and Mission Advancement Corp. He is said to earn around $3 million per year just from endorsements.
