Deion Sanders is renowned for keeping receipts, so will it be any different when facing the Rams? The CU has already kicked off their season with two consecutive victories, doubling their previous year’s performance, and heightening the anticipation for their upcoming bout. However, Colorado State Rams’ Head Coach, Jay Norvell, had a different idea and didn’t hold back from taking shots at Coach Prime.
Norvell criticized Sanders for his habit of wearing sunglasses and a hat during press conferences. He went on to emphasize that he always removes his hat and glasses as a sign of respect for the grown-ups, a lesson imparted by his mother.

Coach Prime made a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen show, where the host inquired about the altercation leading up to the Week 3 matchup. Sanders expressed his surprise upon viewing the now-viral clip, exclaiming, “You’ve got to be kidding me,” followed by, “When did he take a left? Because it was right two years ago.” He further revealed his genuine intention of complimenting the Rams’ Head Coach and admitted that this unexpected jab caught him off guard.
Eisen noted that it was somewhat unusual for Norvell to take a shot at Sanders’ family, prompting a succinct three-word response from Coach Prime, “Can’t do that.” Sanders elaborated on this point, emphasizing that such a comment aimed at his family crossed a line he couldn’t tolerate. Mentioning his mother made him uncomfortable, and he emphasized that they both come from different backgrounds, stating, “You can’t take that shot,” followed by, “That’s not one you want to take.”
Just as he plans to do in the upcoming matchup, the 2x Super Bowl champ has recently silenced his critics, following the jaw-dropping triumph in the season opener.

Sanders calls out ESPN reporter!
The Buffaloes kicked off their season against last year’s championship contender, TCU, in a thrilling showdown. Thanks to a sensational performance by Shedeur Sanders and a final score of 45-42, the team emerged victorious, leading to an impassioned press conference with Coach Prime. In the interview, the 2x Super Bowl champ didn’t hold back in addressing those who had doubted him and his coaching methods. He notably engaged in a heated exchange with ESPN’s Ed Werder, who had apparently criticized him previously. Sanders repeatedly asked the reporter, “Do you believe now?” while expressing his determination to lead the team to another victory in the upcoming matchup against Nebraska.
On the other hand, the CO State has faced challenges this season and in the previous one, beginning with a loss to Washington State. Their lone victory in the entirety of 2022 sets the stage for a matchup that clearly favors CU. The post-match interview promises to be intriguing.
