Prime Time Deion makes it clear
Deion Sanders didn’t have a tough time choosing a team to start his head coaching journey. With two sons in the football program, Jackson State University was a clear winner for Prime Time Deion. The two-time Super Bowl champion took over the reins in 2020 and has turned the football program around at Mississippi.
On a recent episode of the Happy Hour of the 93.7 the Ticket, Eric Strickland reached out to Sanders to address the rumors of leaving JSU for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. And Deion texted back, “No truth to it, my brother.”
The Jackson State Tigers are having a flawless 10-0 season after their latest 27-13 win over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. Therefore, staying with the Tigers makes sense for the time being. Coach Prime also has family ties with JSU. Sons Shilo and Shedeur Sanders are also part of the JSU team and the HC loves coaching his sons. Shilo is a safety while Shedeur is the starting quarterback for the Tigers.
