The 2021 NFL season is not going as per plan for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The 2019 Super Bowl champions are at the bottom of their division as we approach the midway stage of their campaign. Coach Andy Reid’s boys suffered their 3rd loss of the season on Sunday at the hands of the Buffalo Bills.
Quarterback Josh Allen put on a stunning offensive display as the Bills ran out comfortable winners by a 38-20 scoreline at the Arrowhead Stadium. The home team looked helpless on Sunday against a strong Buffalo unit. The Kansas City Chiefs now face an uphill battle at securing a playoff spot in 2021.

The Chiefs played without defensive lineman Chris Jones and cornerback Charvarius Ward in the loss against the Bills. Now they will be without the services of 2020 1st-round pick, Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The LSU product has been an ever-present component of the Chiefs offense since making his debut last season.
However, the budding starlet suffered an MCL tear in the Week 5 loss at home. He was part of all five games for KC this season but will not miss out on 2-3 weeks of football with this latest setback.
In other news, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill’s injury is not as serious as previously expected. He suffered a minor injury last night but will not miss any time away from the first team. However, coach Reid might opt to be cautious with his star wideout.
