Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and quarterback Baker Mayfield may say all good things about each other off the field, but they don’t have good chemistry on the field. OBJ’s father posted an 11-minute video, highlighting the same, hours before the trade deadline.
The video clip posted on the verified account of Odell Beckham Sr. sparked rumors on the wide receiver moving out of Cleveland. The older Beckham does not look happy at all on the 26-year-old quarterback overlooking and ignoring the three-time Pro Bowl receiver throughout this season.

Odell Beckham Jr. has a lack of on-field chemistry with Baker Mayfield
Beckham Sr. wasn’t shy about replying to some comments criticizing the quarterback on multiple occasions. He posted the video two days after his son registered a mere total of just one reception for six yards on one target during the Browns’ 15-10 loss to Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
OBJ is having a disaster of a season since returning in week 3 from his prolonged ACL injury. Appearing in six games so far, the receiver has caught 17 passes for 232 yards and zero touchdowns leading to the Browns holding a 4-4 record.

As Cleveland Browns sit disappointingly in the last place of the AFC North, the failed chemistry between the wideout and the quarterback should be put into question. The lack of efficiency of the wideout since being acquired from the New York Jets to the Browns is not just OBJ’s fault.

However, on the flip side, Baker Mayfield goes well with the likes of other receivers, as his passer rating with Non-OBJ receivers are 151.4 with Donovan People Jones, 126.5 with Kareem Hunt, 126.2 with Rashard Higgins, 114.1 with David Njoku, 107.4 with Jarvis Landry and 102.6 with Austin Hooper, but only 78.2 with OBJ himself.

So no doubt that Baker Mayfield is well in form to throw passes, then why is he not making receptions with the Pro Bowl receiver. Furthermore, Beckham Sr. has made a valid point by posting a video highlighting a thought-provoking debate regarding the relationship between OBJ and the Browns.
