For the Cleveland Browns, the 2020 NFL season was one that fans won’t soon forget. After failing to make the playoffs for 17 seasons, the Browns finally made the postseason under new Head Coach Kevin Stefanski.

To only further sweeten the deal, the Browns won their first playoff game as well. Beating division rivals Pittsburgh Steelers in a crazy Wild Card round fixture, the Browns made it to the Divisional round.

But the Browns’ fairytale run was ultimately cut short by the Kansas City Chiefs in a nail-biting Divisional tie.

Now following what seemed to be a year of redemption, the Cleveland Browns are looking to go even further in 2021. Shoring up their defense with multiple key free agency signings, their latest inclusion is edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

Talking to the media after the signing, Clowney said he still has a lot left to prove in the NFL.

“I just want to show that I’m still an elite player, more by proving myself than anything, to prove to other people I’m still out here and can dominate,” Clowney said.

When asked as to why he joined the Cleveland Browns, the edge rusher said he’s looking to get on a team that looks capable of winning.

“Them guys, they’re hungry, I can tell you that, they’re very hungry and they feel like they’re on a winning team, too. So, that’s why I jumped on board, trying to get on that winning team,” Clowney said.

“I don’t think Cleveland is like people think they used to be so I’m looking forward to this season and playing with a great group of guys and getting after guys,” the edge rusher added.
