Tom Brady is currently the oldest quarterback to play in the NFL playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the age of 45. Apart from Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson are some of the oldest quarterbacks. Notably, all these quarterbacks are having a really poor season both individually and from the team’s perspective as well.

Recently, Brady talked about the age factor for NFL players to perform. According to him, age is not a factor, as long as the players are competing on the field.
Tom Brady talks about the age as he cited Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson’s example
During his weekly podcast, ‘Let’s Go’, Tom Brady talked to the host Jim Gray about his declining performances and whether age has anything to do with it. “There are a lot of great competitors. I mean, Russell (Wilson) is a great competitor, Aaron (Rodgers) is a great competitor, I mean, to reference those two, I don’t think it matters what your age is. I think it matters how you’re playing and how you’re competing,” Brady said.
“Some years, you know, you don’t have your best year, as an individual, as a team. Some days, you do, and like I said, I had one of my great years in 07. We didn’t win the Super Bowl,” the 45-year-old quarterback further said.
Interestingly, Brady then gave his own example of having a bad season and still winning the Super Bowl. He said, “I had a year in 2018, that probably wasn’t my best year, but we did so, and again the purpose of playing is to win the Super Bowl and that’s why we’re playing and no one knows what that looks like until that game’s played.”

It is worth noting that both Rodgers and Wilson are also struggling with their performances this year. Moreover, their team is also not playing well. A-Rod’s team has won only three out of 7 games and sitting in the second position in the NFC North. As for Wilson’s team, the Broncos won only 2 games so far and sitting in the last position of the AFC West.

Brady still has a chance to turn things around for the Bucs
While Rodgers and Wilson’s team are falling behind in the league, Brady‘s team, the Bucs are still at the top of the NFC South, despite losing 4 games already. The next best team in their group is the Falcons; incidentally, they also have the same record as the Bucs.
If Brady manages to win the next few games, their percentage will go over 0.500. Many experts believe QB’s personal life is affecting his game on the field. Although Tampa Tom played with immense professionalism so far, he needs to improve his performance, possibly to qualify for the playoffs before he hangs his jersey, finally.
