Green Bay Packers will try their best to start off the season on a great note against their opponents, Chicago Bears this Sunday. But the Packers were seen without either of their starting receivers in their Wednesday practice as the team prepares for the season opener match. Romeo Doubs, wide receiver, missed the practice due to his hamstring injury, which also placed him on the sidelines during the preseason finale as well.

Similarly, even Christian Watson, another Packers WR, wasn’t seen anywhere near his team on Wednesday. Although Watson has been going through the hamstrings issue since the last season, it still shocked a lot of fans that the problem is still persisting. Let’s what’s going on with the Packers WR.

As per the official injury report released by the Green Bay Packers, the offense lineup is in danger, as three out of six wide receivers are currently enlisted on the report. Alongside Doubs and Watson, even Dontayvion Wicks is being held back because of a hamstring injury. So, as of now, the offense side of the Packers is taking a punch in the gut right now.

The injury to Watson has been covered behind the curtains, as there are no official reports on whether it’s the same problem as last season. Even the head coach, Matt LaFleur, has been quite silent about the whole development.

He said in his earlier interview, “The expectations remain the same — and that is to go out there and play winning football. So, we’ll get our guys ready to go.

Besides this, LaFleur also opened up about the absence of the two of his regular WRs. He said, “We’ll give them the whole week and see where they’re at.” So despite all the atrocities, the team is still trying to find ways to stay optimistic. Let’s see what the WR lineup could look like after the recent injury reports.

The Green Bay Packers game plan for their upcoming fixture

The season opener for the Packers will serve as the official debut of Jordan Love as the full-time starter of the team. But the WR would not be getting the support of his senior teammates. Besides losing their top receiver, the team will also be a bit handicapped without their second-year receiver, Romeo Doubs, and coincidentally, both of them are suffering from hamstring injuries.

Now it leaves Love with the inexperienced set of receivers, so most likely, the Packers would be going for their rookie, Jayden Reed, on the lineup. If that wouldn’t be the case, they may be opting for someone off the bench. Since the Week 1 lineup hasn’t been officially announced yet. But it’d be interesting, as many look towards Love as the replacement for Aaron Rodgers.
