Tom Brady and the Buccaneers overcame the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in a historic international fixture. The Bucs have now won two in a row after Brady’s comeback drive win against the Rams last weekend. Chris Simms, who quarterbacked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers between 2003 and 2007, recently spoke about the Bucs and Brady’s terrible form. After the Rams win, Simms called the offense average and even took a shot at Tampa Tom. “You’re talking about a guy that’s playing really average football at quarterback. I mean really average,” the NBC on NFL analyst stated.
TB12 shuts Simms up with a dominant show against Seattle
It was a historic night for the NFL on Sunday when the Buccaneers played the Seattle Seahawks at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena. This marked the first international fixture of the league in Germany. And Tom Brady didn’t disappoint the fans in Munich. Brady threw 2 touchdowns over 258 yards in the 21-16 win over the Seahawks.
TB12 has shut down a lot of questions surrounding an early retirement after the divorce sage. Chris Simms wasn’t the only one who thought the Buccaneers were not up to the mark this season. Tom Brady himself wasn’t happy with the level of effort his offense was showing on the field. However, post the Seahawks game Brady expressed joy with his receivers putting on a show. WRs Chris Godwin and Julio Jones each caught a touchdown pass from Tom Terrific in the winning effort.
Chris Simms spent 8 years in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Denver Broncos, and two stints with the Tennessee Titans. After retirement, the former quarterback is now a sports analyst and can be seen on Pro Football Talks and NFL on NBC crews.
