Colin Kaepernick has been out of the NFL for a very long time. Every season, hope emerges for his fans that Kaepernick will make a comeback, but unfortunately, it fazes out quickly.
He has a large fan base. Many athletes and celebrities have also come out in support of him as they believe Kap should be playing in the NFL. Back in 2019, famous comedian Chris Rock also made a plea for Kaepernick’s return.

In a tweet from 2019, Chris Rock wrote, “The cowboys and Eagles could use Kaepernick. They wouldn’t even have to pay him cause I would.” Colin Kaepernick had the experience of playing in the NFC. He might have been a good option for both of those teams from the NFC East.

Unfortunately, nobody listened to the plea made by Chris Rock. Kaepernick has been without a team since 2017. It is still unknown whether his career in the NFL is over or if he’ll return in the future.
He made a great impact on many athletes through his efforts, which might have cost him his career in the NFL. Due to this, he always has a lot of supporters rooting for him to make a return to the league.
Colin Kaepernick was very close to a return to the NFL
Colin Kaepernick took his last snap in the NFL in 2016 for the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, he hasn’t played a single game and has been out of the league for more than 5 years.

However, he had an opportunity to return to the league earlier in the offseason. The Las Vegas Raiders brought him for a workout. The Raiders were looking to get him as their backup quarterback.
Unfortunately, that move also fell through. No official statement got released regarding how the workout went, but it is assumed it didn’t go well. Otherwise, Kap would have been on their roster right now.
