Hopkins to the Chiefs Kingdom?
If the Chiefs trade for DeAndre Hopkins, he could give Mahomes a huge buff on the field in the passing game. No matter how good of a player Patrick Mahomes is, taking some of that pressure off his shoulders could be the best thing to do for the Chiefs on the field.
The acquisition of Hopkins will solidify the Chiefs’ position as the top Super Bowl favorite for the upcoming season as well. It will be interesting to see how the teams plan to use the cap space they freed after the Mahomes contract restructuring. This might be the start of another Super Bowl journey for the team.
