Ronald Jones tweeted that he would like to end things with the Chiefs as soon as possible. The running back from USC hasn’t played a single game this season because of heavy competition in the Chiefs RB position. Jones signed a $1.5 million one-year contract with the Chiefs in the off-season. Kansas City Chiefs fans did not take Ronald’s trade request lightly and left a piece of their minds on the replies.
Ronald Jones is not that important according to Chiefs fans
Jones is currently a healthy inactive for the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs offense. He is the fourth-string running back option for Kansas. Jerick McKinnon’s return for another year and a healthy Clyde Edwards-Helaire proved to be a challenge for Ronald Jones. And then came seventh-round rookie from Rutgers, Isiah Pacheco and suddenly Jones’ chances looked really slim.
Kansas City fans are not worried about the RB role to support Mahomes. They made their feelings very clear.
Will "goodbye" help you? Hell I didn't realize you were still on the team. Somebody make this happen for this man. We really do not need him.

You got outplayed by Pancheco and couldn't get over McKinnon. Obviously it's a you problem at this point.

Ronald hasn’t played a single minute this season. And fans think Ronald Jones has a lot to prove before making any demands.
You've never broken 1000 yards or 10 rushing tds in a season. If you want to play, work harder, be better, quit whining.

Maybe you should’ve produced more than half a yard per carry in the pre season. Even against 2nd and 3rd stringers, with out starting offensive line.

With the current string of bad form, fans don’t think Ronald Jones will get what he wants on any other team in the league.
This is a terrible approach however every chiefs fan seemingly wishes you got your chance to play. Hopefully you make more money and get more touches somewhere else but at the currently moment I don’t see that…

As a Chiefs fan..I 1000% support you wanting out. Was hoping you would bring that dawg to the running game but you haven't gotten a single carry with season halfway over. That's dirty. Your a vet not a rookie. Hope they trade you. Best of luck which ever team you go to!

The running back wants to be released in the same year he signed a deal. And for some fans, this lack of loyalty is a matter of concern.
Imagine signing a contract to a team and making money. Then complaining about making money and having a job 🥱🥱

Could Tampa Bay Buccaneers use Ronald Jones to improve their season?
The RB spent four years at Tampa Bay, who drafted him in 2018. However, in his final year with the Bucs, Jones’ figures weren’t that impressive. In 16 games, the running back had zero touchdowns in 428 rushing yards and covered just 6.4 yards per reception. Running back Leonard Fournette had no problem replacing him. But the Bucs are struggling right now with injuries mounting on in every game. They are currently 3-5 with quarterback Tom Brady having the worst start to his season since 2002.
Some Bucs fans want Ronald Jones to come back to Florida.
Tampa is always welcome to a reunion, god knows we need you RoJo

Ronald Jones’ future has a cloud of uncertainties at the moment. The Chiefs have a lot of options. Some loving fans related to Ronald’s problems and wished him the best for his journey ahead.
Such a weird situation. Chiefs have four starting caliber RBs on their roster, why are they keeping you hostage? If anything, they could at least trade you, doesn't have to be a blockbuster.

I want you to be number two running back if not starting as much as I’d hate to see you go I’d love to see you perform elsewhere where were you go wherever your career takes you give them hell I just know at least one fan in Kansas City loves you and feel sorry love you ROJO

However, Ronald Jones is not out of options. With most of the NFL struggling with their offense this season, the running back position is highly lucrative right now.
Where is Ronald Jones going next ?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren’t the only ones who could use a running back support. The 6-0 Eagles could also be a likely destination for Jones. Philly recently acquired free-agent RB DeAndre Torrey which shows that they are interested in the running back options to help out quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Kansas City Chiefs is not playing this bye week. However, they have stayed very active in the transfer market. Kansas acquired wide receiver, Kadarius Toney, from the New York Giants in exchange for 3rd and sixth-round picks from the 2023 draft. The Chiefs also released wide receiver Daurice Fountain this week. Will they grant Ronald Jones’ wishes and release the running back? Only the Chiefs and time can tell.
