The Super Bowl may not be until 2023, but the halftime hype is upon the realm. After Apple Music became the official sponsor, some fresh news boosted the excitement. After much anticipation, Rihanna would finally grace the grandest football showdowns with a halftime performance. It also pumped Patrick Mahomes and his wife to see RiRi.

Patrick Mahomes made his weekly appearance on Audacy’s 610 Sports Radio show ‘The Drive’. The QB expressed his and his wife’s enthusiasm about Rihanna headlining The Apple Music Halftime Show in Super Bowl LVII at Glendale, Arizona. He also revealed how he plans to witness her act.
This is what Patrick Mahomes came for!
Patrick Mahomes mentioned, “Rihanna has a lot of bangers. Brittany [Mahomes] was pretty hyped about [her performing at the Super Bowl Halftime show]. She’s a legend as well. Hopefully, we can be in the game and record it and watch it afterward. I have not met Rihanna — she’s one of the greatest to do it.”

Mahomes’ anticipation for The Barbados Babe is over the moon. However, his interest in not watching it the conventional was noteworthy. He would participate in the game and expects to be in the locker room at halftime to ponder about ways to help his side succeed.
The Grim Reaper is no stranger to Super Bowl appearances. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed at the LIV halftime in Miami, and The Weeknd performed in Tampa Bay at Super Bowl LV. But he is rooting for RiRi, and the Chiefs have a favorable chance to make it.
Rihanna declined the previous Halftime appearance for an ex-NFL QB
The Caribbean Queen made it official with a period and a photograph of her holding a Football. However, it’s not the first time the league approached her to perform at the show. During Rihanna’s 2019 interview with Vogue magazine, she acknowledged in the discussion that she passed down the opportunity to appear at the 2019 Super Bowl to stand in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick.

Rihanna mentioned, “Absolutely. I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people.” She does not intend to be a sellout and enabler. Additionally, there are aspects of the organization with which she disagrees and would not go there and serve them in either capacity.

However, it looks like the odds are even, and her much-awaited performance would set the stage ablaze in Glendale, Arizona.
