Antonio Brown, despite not being a part of the NFL anymore, hasn’t shied away from making comments about people who are associated with the league. Recently, he made some remarks about former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
AB received a lot of backlash from Kaepernick’s fans, but recently an NFL legend came out in support of Brown. Former Chargers player and 3x Pro Bowler Shawne Merriman thought Antonio Brown’s argument had some valid points.

Shawne Merriman said, “He [Brown] makes some valid points about Colin Kaepernick saying that, ‘Hey, you took money from the NFL, the settlement, the Nike commercials, all these things, and you know, trying to get back in, he don’t want to play football.’ Well, I think a lot of people think that way about all the other stuff that Colin Kaepernick has going on and the opportunities he has to get back into the NFL, and just hasn’t.”
Merriman believed that even though Brown’s comments have been skeptical in the past, he didn’t miss a beat while talking about Kaepernick. Undoubtedly, Antonio Brown made some valid points due to which people’s perceptions changed towards Kap.
Antonio Brown had some strong words for Colin Kaepernick

Shawne Merriman supported Brown’s words towards Colin Kaepernick. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ WR had very strong words for Kap who hasn’t been a part of the NFL since 2017. Brown believed that Kaepernick took his money, and didn’t do much more after that.
Antonio Brown said, “He already took the money. All that’s cap. We ain’t respecting that, bro. You took the money, the commercials. We don’t see you outside. We don’t see him in the hood. He don’t do nothing.” AB also claimed that Kaepernick wasn’t much good at football, and it was the major reason why he was cut.
