Baker Mayfield’s transfer has been the talk of the town in the NFL circle for the past few months. Carolina Panthers’ WR Robby Anderson has also stepped into this whirlwind and amplified speculations. Recently, a deleted tweet by Anderson sparked popular speculation on Baker’s transfer from the Cleveland Browns.

Earlier, Anderson expressed his feelings on Mayfield, therefore, substantiating that he does not want him as a QB at the Panthers. He continued to express his feelings in a recent social media post as well. In a now-deleted tweet, Anderson wrote, “Ain’t gone lie. Thinking bout retiring.”

Even though Cleveland Browns might be desperate to keep the QB amidst rumors of Deshaun Watson’s suspension, the transfer deal seems to be in its on the cusp of being closed. However, the deleted tweet is definitely given more fire to the much-awaited transfer.

Baker Mayfield is still on the Browns’ roster as trade rumors weigh in

Cleveland Browns are continuing to keep Baker Mayfield on the roster as trade rumors continue to make headway. However, the Panthers are showing very keen interest in trading for the former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick. The WR commented “Nooooo” on a post that almost confirmed Baker’s transfer in the upcoming NFL 2022 season.

In addition, another now-deleted tweet by Anderson took a dig at the Baker trade rumor. He wrote, ” Glad to see people think my dream and my goals and my life a joke and they entertainment dats what be wrong with ‘fans’ & society. One thang about it no man can control what God has destined for me. Jesus went through worse. The Real always prevail.”

Panthers have long tried to get Mayfield in their QB lineup.
