Cousins’ words will have a healing impact
Kirk Cousins was a Michigan State Spartans QB for three years before joining the Washington Commanders in the NFL, back when they were still the Washington Football Club. Washington drafted him in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL draft before trading him to the Vikings in 2018.

The Vikings signal-caller started for Michigan’s football team in all three years, including two 11-win seasons in his last two years. Moreover, Kirk is somewhat of a Spartan legend after winning the Outback Bowl against Georgia in his final appearance for MSU during his senior year. Cousins threw for 300 yards and a touchdown in that game. And to have their hero with them during this difficult time is bound to help the healing.
