Antonio Brown is known to be one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL. Brown’s infamous exit from the NFL is well documented and so is his illustrious NFL career. The last time Brown appeared on the big stage, he walked away in the third quarter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-24 win against the New York Jets. Since then, Brown has transitioned into an ownership role, but his decisions still remain questionable, and fans are the first to let the Pro Bowler know.
Antonio Brown’s ownership stint with the Albany Empire has been fairly entertaining to watch from afar. First Brown claimed to be the sole owner of the team and got into an altercation with the security staff right after, next reports of Brown suiting up for the Empire took over, and now Brown hints at another NFL legend joining him.

Antonio Brown wants to return to the NFL, or so many reports claim. Even Brown himself shared a picture in a Ravens jersey, teasing a comeback. While Brown’s NFL return seems highly unlikely, the Pro Bowler is going to find himself on a football field. Earlier allegations of not paying the coaching staff and players were levied against Antonio Brown, and now AB might end up on the same roster as the players he refused to pay.
Antonio Brown intends on following in the footsteps of George Halas, becoming the first player-owner since the legendary Chicago Bears owner. However, Brown is not the only former NFL legend joining the roster, as he even lumped in Cam Newton with him.
Cam Newton, unlike Brown, found himself out of the league due to being injury prone. The final nail in the coffin came as the New England Patriots chose Mac Jones as the successor to Tom Brady, snubbing Newton. Since then, Newton has been eyeing a return to the NFL even willing to take a backup role.
However, Albany Empire appears to be his next stop as Antonio Brown expanded, “My friend Cam will be here soon”
When asked about Cam Newton suiting up for the @thealbanyempir, Empire owner Antonio Brown (@AB84) said Newton will "be here soon."

Despite Antonio Brown’s claims fans seem skeptical of the situation as several took to Twitter to voice their distrust.
Fans don’t trust Antonio Brown
The Albany Empire fanbase has been constantly taking jabs at Antonio Brown. Despite Brown’s father being an integral part of the Empire’s legacy, fans seem to have a hard time relinquishing control to AB. Similar reactions were seen as Antonio Brown eluded to Cam Newton joining the franchise.

Amidst Antonio Brown’s declaration, fans appear as skeptical as ever. With both Antonio Brown and Cam Newton out of the league, the former NFL stars might just have to settle for the next best thing, and maybe the Albany Empire will embrace Newton just like New England once did.
