The NFL trade deadline has passed and many players have now found new teams to play for. Some may be happy with their trade and some might not be. One such player from the squad that won the Super Bowl LVI, however, was unable to celebrate the fact that he was not traded. The 23-year-old RB, Cam Akers, looked forward to a trade.

Despite the Rams trying to find a new home for the running back, they decided to hold on to the third-year Akers. But now he hopes the team finds a solution.
Cam Akers is no longer interested in the Rams
According to him, he thinks it “isn’t in his best” interest to continue playing with the Rams. Previously, the team’s coach, Sean McVay, confessed the team was looking for trades for the Florida state product to “help him look for a fresh new start.”

While the Rams tried to trade him, Akers missed the team’s previous two games. This week, he tweeted that he missed playing football. He appears to be dissatisfied with his current situation in Los Angeles and would appreciate a chance somewhere else.
He only ran the ball 51 times for 155 yards in LA’s five games this season. Cam Akers had a strong rookie season. He rushed for 625 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games after being selected by the Rams in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. However, his career took a turn when he tore his Achilles in training. Despite the injury, he made a comeback at the end of the 2021 regular season. He played in all four games as the Rams advanced to the Super Bowl LVI, but only saw sporadic involvement.

The Rams were no match against the 49ers
On Sunday, in the SoFi Stadium, the LA Rams could not pose a threat against Jimmy Garoppolo, Christian McCaffrey, and the offense. They were handed a 31-14 loss. Their losing streak continued as they gave up 24 points to the 49ers.
It looks hard for the Super Bowl winners to defend their NFC West title. Although the start looked promising, lead QB Matthew Stafford struggled at the stretch. In total, he completed 22 of his 33 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown. McCaffrey, on the other hand, accumulated 94 yards on 18 carries. He scored while rushing, receiving the ball, and passing it. Garoppolo was also effective on 21 of 25 attempts for 235 yards and two touchdowns. He finished 22 of his 33 passes for a total of 187 yards and a touchdown.
