There are only a few wide receivers who possess a relentless and imaginative style of play like the Pro Bowler, Davante Adams. Three times back-to-back First-team All-Pro, with the highest receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, the Raiders man is a force to be reckoned with. But Madden 24 doesn’t seem to think so.

As the season draws near, it’s high time for the fans to delve into the newest iteration of their favorite football video game, with athletes all around the corners of the league. However, what caught everyone’s eye, including the 6x Pro Bowl, is the rating of his in-game character.

There’s no doubt that the Pro Bowler had a remarkable season last year. With a whopping 100 receptions, 1516 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns, Adams etched his reputation as a top-tier wide receiver once more. Despite reaching the age of 30, he not only puts up a fair fight with the youngsters but also wins major awards each year. However, his rating is still dropped by 2 points to 97 in the video game, leaving him in the 3rd place, behind Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill.

Adams recently appeared on NFL Total Access where the hosts brought up the said issue as soon as the show started. One of the co-hosts brought up the discussion by adding how the wide receiver has recorded 1500 yards last season, and yet lost 2 points in the ratings. He then asked Adams, “What’s going on, man? Who do we need to call?” It prompted a playful response from the WR, with him adding, “Man! Call the police at this point,” hilariously adding humor to the discussion.

Interestingly, this topic wasn’t just confined to the talk show, as the Pro Bowler’s teammate also raised the same issue following the ratings drop.

The Raiders WR does not intend to be distracted by the rating

Adams’ RB teammate, Josh Jacobs, took to Twitter to voice his concerns over the ratings. He tagged the video game’s handle and questioned them why they decided to drop the Pro Bowler’s rating, especially after his exceptional career year. The said tweet was also featured on the talk show. Following Adams’ hilarious reply, he expressed his feelings about the rating. He added how this mere rating doesn’t affect his credibility or mindset. He also added how he might slide up in the rankings in the future.

However, it will definitely be interesting to see if Adams’ ratings improve as the season progresses. What’s your take on the rating? Do you think they are justified?
