Reports indicate that Caleb Farley‘s residence in Mooresville, N.C. was struck by a devastating explosion. NFL reporter Dov Kleiman shared the tragic news on Twitter, stating, “A person has died at the $2 million house of #Titans CB Caleb Farley after the house exploded.”

He also added, “Farley was at the scene with family, talking with authorities.” This incident brought a double blow for the Comeback Player awardee, as not only did his home suffer a tragic explosion, but he also tragically lost his beloved father in the same incident. According to reports, Farley acquired this residence for his father in 2022.

Caleb Farley’s Mooresville, North Carolina home exploded on Monday night while his father, Robert Farley, was present. The incident occurred around 12 a.m. on Barber Loop Road near Old Arborway Road. Responders arrived after a midnight call and found an injured individual at the scene as the home collapsed. Robert Farley, aged 61, was recovered around 4:30 a.m. amidst the debris by first responders. The injured person, identified as family friend Christian Rogers, was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Notably, Caleb was not in the home at the time of the explosion. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause, with some reports pointing to a potential natural gas leak. The odor of gas was also reported in the vicinity. The 6,391-square-foot home and multiple vehicles were destroyed. Titans coach Mike Vrabel stated on Tuesday, “What’s most important is that we do everything we can to support him emotionally. It’s shocking. We’ve got to focus on Caleb and his family, and how we can support him.
