The NFL’s Week 11 has a thrilling matchup on the list. The Ravens would host the Panthers at the M&T Bank Stadium. QBs Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson have a history dating back to their college days. Both were close friends, increasing the hype over the upcoming game. But Mayfield commented on LJ’s mother that has shaken the Ravens QB from the core.

 

Baker Mayfield talked about Lamar Jackson’s mother in a press conference. He recalled one such incident with her after the Heisman ceremony. However, the Panthers QB shied away from the invite, as he found Jackson’s mother very intimidating.

The media questioned Lamar Jackson over Baker Mayfield’s comments about his mother being intimidating. But to everyone’s surprise, he looked shocked and had a priceless reaction. He expressed, My mama? He said he’s intimidated by my mama? Y’all are telling me something new. I don’t recall. I do not recall. I’m clueless.”

Baker Mayfield recalled that his mother trained LJ, and convinced him to fly to Florida and work out with Jackson. However, the Panthers QB respectfully declined while sipping some beverages at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. He added, “She’s intimidating. There’s a reason why he’s so tough.”

The Heisman Trophy winners had clashes when Baker Mayfield was a part of the Browns. Mayfield is coming off an ankle sprain, which he sustained in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers. But the franchise would start the QB1 against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens made a clean sweep over the Saints in Week 9. However, Lamar Jackson was fuming over the franchise’s offensive line. As he attempted to snap the ball, the QB1 appeared frustrated over Ronnie Stanley due to the delay in the game call. Jackson threw the football down in anguish after the referees called the penalty. Both of them had a heated moment, and their teammates had to separate them.

After that, Jackson was irate over himself during the third quarter after missing an open throw. He approached the sideline and tossed his helmet toward the seat. The Ravens QB1 addressed to ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he was not upset with the guys. Jackson wanted the ball to be snapped.
