They announced that they would give a Kadarius Toney autographed jersey to someone if the wide receiver attains a touchdown and the Chiefs beat the Lions. As a result, a lot of fans put all their hopes and expectations on Toney but unfortunately ended up with disappointment.

The fans dropped mocking comments expressing temper and despondency on social media. No wonder Toney had a dark night and might have possibly gone through a lot of emotions. It was tough for the wide receiver as he dropped a total of 3 passes during the match which was critical for an easy win.

Weakening of the Chiefs’ roster

Several key players were injured before the match, which had weakened the Chiefs’ roster. Despite that, the team was expected to win against the Lions. It’s also important to note the absence of the defensive lineman, Chris Jones, who held out due to contract issues.

In an attempt to seek out a new contract, Jones has been sitting out during the match and it is probable he would do so throughout the season. Nevertheless, Chris Jones has been a key player on the defensive side for a considerable amount of time and his absence took a toll on the roster.
