The match was a low-scoring cagey affair, with the final scorecard being 6-9. This outcome shocked the NFL community, and rightly so. After all, the Bills were clear favorites against the Jaguars, given they had Josh Allen.
As the popular saying goes, everything happens for a reason, and NFL fans across the world have been pinning this on the Manningcast Curse. Ahead of the match, Bills’ Josh Allen had appeared at Manning’s show and fans believe it is the reason for Bills’ shock loss last night.

What is the “Manningcast Curse”? Who all have succumbed to it?
Following Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills’ surprising loss on Sunday, it appears that the “Curse of the ‘ManningCast'” is real. Peyton and Eli Manning’s alternative-commentary supplement to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” show has now appeared on ESPN2 in five of the first nine weeks of the season. In each of those weeks, at least one active NFL player has been one of the brothers’ guests.
In every one of those cases, across six stars on some of the league’s best squads, that guest’s team has lost the following week. The losses have been unpredictable to outright bizarre, but Bills’ last night loss takes the cake away for being the most shocking of the lot. So far, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford, etc have succumbed to the curse.

Entering this game week, Josh Allen was amongst the NFL MVP conversations, as he has been that good this season. Moreover, the Buffalo Bills were looking like the side to beat in the AFC with their impeccable 5-2 record. Lastly, the Bills were supposed to face the Jacksonville Jaguars who have been arguably been amongst the worst dies in the NFL.
Keeping all this in mind, no one in their right mind would have predicted a Jaguars win. Not even the oddsmakers, as they favored the Bills by 15.5 points against the Jaguars by kickoff. Despite that, the Jaguars pulled off a cagey 9-6 victory over the Bills.
