The AFC, ahead of the ?2023 NFL season,? has become arguably the toughest division in the league. With the New England Patriots raging for more than two decades, the prominence of the Buffalo Bills with their rising quarterback Josh Allen, the Miami Dolphins with Mike McDaniel, and in recent times, the New York Jets getting a massive leap forward with the inclusion of Aaron Rodgers and Dalvin Cook. With all four teams vying for the win this season, there is a considerable amount of excitement over what will actually pan out over the 17-game season. Additionally, Allens? accusing Rodgers of cheating makes matters more ?spicy.?
On a recent episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” hosted by former football punter and kickoff specialist, Pat McAfee, Allen was asked about the influx of skilled players within the AFC East, highlighting specifically the Jets’ augmented talented roster with the inclusion of NFL legend Rodgers. His response was quite intriguing.
“Aaron Rodgers can have all the golf stuff and I’m gonna try and take care of the football stuff ??

“Aaron Rodgers can have all the golf stuff and I’m gonna try and take care of the football stuff,? said the young quarterback, coating a snide jab at the four-time MVP with humor. He quickly deviated from his statement by suggesting how great a player the 39-year-old star quarterback is, and the amount of respect he harbors toward Rodgers before ending with, ?It’s gonna be fun playing against him twice a year now and I’ve got a lot of respect for him”?
Rodgers and Allen are perhaps two of the best at their position in the NFL. But where does golf enter the equation?
?But definitely some jealousy? Rodgers spots the green devil
The two-time Pro Bowler met the four-time MVP on the golf course in February, during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.? Rodgers and professional golfer Ben Silverman were declared winners after finishing at 26-under par, 1 shot ahead of Peter Malnati and Don Colleran, the retired president and CEO of FedEx. Allan voiced his disapproval on a recent episode of the Barstool Sports podcast “Pardon My Take,” ?where he stated that Rodgers “cheated” by getting extra strokes. Aaron got back at him on an episode of ?The Pat McAfee Show? which aired on February 7th, saying, “Josh, you’re not good enough,” hinting that all the anger at him winning boils down to one thing- jealousy.

Many players around Allen’s age have grown up watching Rodgers play and idolize him while he was the face of the Green Bay Packers franchise. Being able to compete with him head-on-head twice in one single season might sound ?fun,? but will the same spirit linger if his fate imitates the Pebble Beach Pro-Am verdict??
