NFL franchise Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen isn’t buying what the entire NFL media seems to be celebrating and that is Tom Brady and his retirement. He believes that Brady is one of the ultimate competitors, and seeing in the upcoming campaigns after that will not be a big surprise for him. Allen seems to be channeling his inner Brady fan as he admitted Brady as someone he idolized growing up as an NFL fan.

While talking about his idol in an interview with USA Today Sports, he states, “But on the note of Tom retiring, I’ll believe it when I see it. He is the ultimate competitor, and I am happy he made that decision for himself and his family. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if we see him next year, the year after that or the year after that.

It might not be a stretch that Allen seems to be making with his statement as Brady has not revealed any concrete plans on life after football. Brady’s reluctance to set anything in stone and his cryptic tweets are major indicators of his wishes to make any comebacks soon.

Brady has been one of the best QB to ever play in the NFL, and many like Josh Allen will always feel he wasn’t finished just yet. The feeling is mutual considering his retirement season, one of the best in his 22-year NFL career. Allen himself talks about some of their meetings and how the greatness of Tom Brady on the football pitch is on another level.

In his final season as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB, Brady played 17 games while throwing for a career-high 5,316 yards and recorded 43 TDs. It was an insane stat line that has left many NFL experts perplexed about his decision to step away. While it is clear that the 2021 season was disappointing, it wasn’t Brady who was the main reason.

A depleted Buccaneers roster didn’t enhance their chances against the eventual Super Bowl LVI champions, the Los Angeles Rams.
