As the showdown between the Jets and the Bills inches closer, anticipation has reached a fever pitch. However, worrisome injury reports are casting a shadow over these teams. A recent scare shook the Bills Mafia when star WR Stefon Diggs and LB Leonard Floyd both limped off the field with lower-body injuries during the team’s final open training camp last month.

The sight of these key players leaving the field made immediate headlines, but there was a glimmer of hope as Josh Allen’s favorite target, Diggs, was seen smiling after the session. Additionally, Floyd later returned to practice, easing some concerns.

The Bisons recently released their Week 1 injury report, and the good news is that there were no players listed. A particularly positive development is the status of safety Micah Hyde, who was limited in practice last week due to a back injury but has now been removed from the list.

It’s worth noting that Hyde spent most of last season on the sidelines due to a neck injury suffered in Week 2 of 2021. Additionally, star QB Josh Allen experienced an arm injury last month, which fortunately turned out to be a minor setback.

While the Bills’ injury report looks reassuring, the Jets face some concerning issues leading up to their season opener. They’ve listed three players as ‘questionable,’ potentially impacting the new AFC powerhouse.

The Jets have undergone a significant roster overhaul, which has generated some uncertainty around their prospects. These injuries could indeed provide the Bills with an advantage in the upcoming matchup.

More injuries on the Jets’ side!

LT Duane Brown, who recently suffered a torn rotator cuff during the summer, is likely to miss the upcoming game. RT Joe Mekhi Becton is also on the list after injuring his knee during practice, and unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with a condition that could keep him sidelined for a few weeks.

Beyond the concerns with Brown and Becton, RB Breece Hall finds himself on the ‘questionable’ list in the week 1 injury report as he continues to recover from an ACL injury that derailed his rookie year. However, there is a silver lining for the Green Gang as Michael Carter has been removed from the list.

Notably, Jets’ star QB Aaron Rodgers gave fans a scare when LB Jermaine Johnson collided with him during a no-contact practice session, nearly injuring Rodgers’ pinky toe. Fortunately, he’s in good shape and set to start the game against the Bills.
