Ever since Tom Brady decided to unretire, there has been a lot of drama going on inside the locker room. Brady taking abrupt leaves from the training camps ahead of the preseason games circulated various theories that directly linked to his personal life. Despite all these uncertainties, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles was left alone to answer the media.

This offseason saw a major revamp within the staff, including Bruce Arians stepping out of the job and his defensive coordinator Todd Bowles taking the charge.
Often known for keeping his cool, Bowles had to face the heat of fans several times. When Brady left the training camp halfway and took an unprecedented 11 days’ leave, Bowles claimed it was a predetermined decision. When asked about the reason behind the move, he mentioned it was all personal.
With the ongoing rumors of Tom Brady and his Gisele Bündchen going through a rough patch, reporters asked Bowles if he was following the quarterback’s off-field pursuits and his relationship jitters.
Bowles subtly dodged the question that his off-field activities were not related to the team or the players. “He’s been all there since we got him. He’s all in now, so I don’t follow the off-the-field stuff I listened to XM, the Groove and soul town, the silk radio, and so My of-field activities are honestly not even football related,” Bowles said in the press conference.

The rumors went on to the extent that it suggested Brady and Bündchen were seeking a divorce. However, Bowles refrained from commenting on anything related to it and remained optimistic about the season opener.

The upcoming 2022 NFL campaign happens to be the 23rd season of Brady’s career. It may prove to be his last in the league. Thus, it becomes an unsaid responsibility for the quarterback to hang up his cleats on a high note.

Recently Brady was speaking about facing the Cowboys in the latest episode of the SiriusXM radio show. “We’re going against a good team. The Cowboys are very talented in all three phases,” he said. “Gonna have a good week of practice, put ourselves in the best possible preparation position we could be in. And now we’re gonna go out there and we’ve gotta see if we can get the job done.” the quarterback added to his explanation.

This offseason, the Buccaneers’ offensive unit lingered with a myriad of injuries. This kept some of the best players out of the contest. However, there is a strong wide receiver corps waiting outside for Brady. It will be interesting to see how the veteran utilizes his resources to bring his eighth Super Bowl title home.
