In the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, the wide-out JuJu Smith-Schuster took a nasty hit from the opponent team’s safety. Although the Chiefs won by 27-17, it was not a good day for the 25-year-old. The consequence of the nasty hit fell on Jaguars Andre Cisco.

Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is in the NFL’s concussion protocol. When the Jacksonville Jaguars safety Andre Cisco hit him, the referee threw a flag for knocking a defenseless player.
However, the referee picked it up and did not count it as a penalty. The referee of the game, Brad Roger, explained after the game, “determined that the defender had set and braced for impact and hit shoulder-to-shoulder.”

To reprimand the mistake, the league levied a fine of $6,612 for unnecessary roughness. Smith-Schuster did not practice this week. This means the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Los Angeles Chargers without their top receiver. JuJu is expected to return to the field in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams.
