The NFL Germany game went down this past weekend. As the league aims to make the sport more global, they pick overseas destinations for teams to play their regular season games. With the UK already being an NFL hub, this was Germany’s time. The Seattle Seahawks took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Munich’s Allianz Arena.

New waters- meant putting the biggest name out there, and rightfully they planned it in a way where Tom Brady played the game. Brady pulled the German crowd as almost 70,000 were in attendance at the Allianz Arena. While the NFL saw this as a success, a certain Seattle Seahawks defenseman wasn’t too happy about the situation.

The Seahawks traveled at length to make it to Munich. Located on the West Coast, they definitely traveled more than the Buccaneers.

However, it wasn’t a significant amount of added travel time. Veteran Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin took to Twitter to express his discomfort with the situation. As usual, his tweet became a breeding ground for NFL fans to pour their thoughts.

Fans take on Seattle Seahawks’ travels

This fan wasn’t having any of it. He thought Irvin was whining about the situation.

A Seahawks fan got technical with their player as they commented about the ground conditions.

Another fan thought it was lights-out time for the veteran defenseman. They spoke of how the league was evolving, and he had to get on pace with it.

This fan saw the game live and let him know not to blame the Allianz Arena pitch. However, they were thrilled to watch their team live.

Former Bills wide receiver, Da’Rick Rogers, got in on this tweet too. He talked of the ground conditions. Recently, NFL players too have voiced their opinions on poor ground conditions across the league, causing injuries.

This guy tried to show Irvin the silver lining through their loss as he cheered them on. He also stated the NFL got what it wanted out of the game.

While Twitter is a platform for people to express themselves, complaining about a ten-hour plane ride was a bit much. With the kind of paychecks they draw, getting on a flight should be the least they could do.

Post Russell Wilson’s trade to the Broncos, Irvin didn’t even have his shenanigans to deal with. Not a lot for him to complain about. Maybe this was his excuse for their loss to an out-of-form Tampa Bay side.
