According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the hurdle attempt from Brown had cost him $8,200 for the resulting actions. He was trying to run in the open field following his return for a punt. During the attempt hurdle, Lanning continued his run, and Brown ended up clashing with the Browns punter.

According to Tom Reed of Cleveland.com and his reports, Lanning and Brown never spoke after the game. While Brown claims he spoke with Lanning after the incident, the Browns punter didn’t have any reservations.

He stated, “I wasn’t angry or anything like that. It was just sort of shocking. I was just going to laugh. Exactly what he said was pretty much what was going to happen. I was going to laugh about it and let it be. As a punter, (Brown) just should have given me a move I thought, but whatever.
