The Denver Broncos recently brought in a new sheriff in town. And it is none other than offensive genius Sean Payton. Payton signed a five-year contract with the Broncos, that keeps him with the franchise through 2027. Under the watchful eyes of their new HC, the Broncos have been undergoing a restructuring of their roster. After a dismal performance of their $245 million QB Russell Wilson, whom they acquired last season, the Broncos will be looking ahead to make smarter investments this time before the new season of the NFL kicks off.

While the Broncos keep themselves busy with the offseason, Payton recently took a break for a game of golf, where he talked about how he developed a passion for a sport other than football.

A resurgence for the Broncos under their new HC?

Last season was a season the Broncos and their fanbase would like to forget. After signing QB Russell Wilson in a blockbuster deal, they expected great things from their new signing. But Wilson failed to shine on the field for his new team, and ultimately the Broncos did not make it to the playoffs. But now, the Broncos are using the offseason to work on their mistakes and have a more holistic outlook for the team under Payton. They recently released TE/FB Andrew Beck and signed Kansas City Chiefs FB Michael Burton. Apart from this, they also brought in a backup QB for Wilson in the form of Jarrett Stidham. Apart from this, they have also recruited Tony Jones and Chris Manhertz, who has experience playing for Payton.
