Patrick Mahomes became a two-time Super Bowl champion last night when the Kansas City Chiefs finished 38-35 against the Eagles. However, Mahomes needed all the luck and perseverance in the world to power through a high ankle sprain he picked up earlier in the season.

Patrick’s wife Brittany Matthews gave the quarterback one such lucky item to help him through the adversities. And it seems to have worked perfectly. The charm in this case? Red game-day underwear from Lululemon.

The Chiefs quarterback injured himself in the divisional round playoff fixture against the Jaguars. And although the NFL world saw some pain enduring heroics in the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Mahomes wasn’t going to the Super Bowl without his lucky underwear.

Brittany and Patrick are together for 11 years, since their high school days. And surely she understands his taste. “I bought Patrick lucky game day underwear. Red underwear from Lululemon, and he’s worn them every game day,” Brittany said on the ‘Shootin’ it with Soph’ podcast with Sophie Julia.

Patrick came back from a limp-worthy injury near the second quarter of the game last night. And the Lululemons seem to have worked their charms.

The power couple recently had another son, Bronze. And with Patrick’s promise of a future dynasty at the end of the trophy celebration, Bronze won’t have to wait too long before getting his own Super Bowl experience.
