Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Patrick Mahomes, is one of the proud supporters of the Kansas City Chiefs, as she attends pretty much every game possible to support her husband and her favorite team. However, in 2018, she had a traumatic experience, which could have been extremely demoralizing for her to attend another Chiefs game.

Notably, in 2018, her stepfather Paul Matthews collapsed a died outside Arrowhead Stadium before the game even started. Unfortunately, he could not witness the game for one last time, as Patrick Mahomes and his girlfriend at that time, Brittany, were mourning his death.
Brittany Mahomes shared some lovely words for her stepfather
After the passing of her grandfather, Brittany took to Instagram and wrote, “Today is a day I will never forget! Directly after this picture I sprinted to the front entrance to see my step dad passed out! He did not come back from this and he was called to heaven today! I KNOW 100 percent he is so happy up there with his kids looking down on us cheering loud that his chiefs won today!”

According to reports, Paul was with Mahomes’ father and they were at the game together. After Paul passed out outside the Arrowhead, the medical team took him immediately to the hospital. However, he could not survive, as Brittany shared an emotional picture from the hospital.
“Thank you everyone for the prayers and sweet text! We will miss you Paul So So So Much! I will take care of mom for you!” Brittany further wrote on her Instagram. After the game, Patrick Mahomes also skipped the press conference, to show support for his family.

The Mahomes family is expecting a new addition
Despite the loss, Brittany still attends the game regularly while pregnant. She is currently pregnant and is expecting a baby in a few weeks’ time. Earlier on February 20, this year, Brittany and Mahomes welcomed their first child and daughter, Sterling.

Later in May, the couple announced on social media that they were expecting another baby. After the news, Brittany attended many Chiefs’ games, as she flaunted her cute baby bump while supporting her husband and the Chiefs.
