The Kansas City Chiefs took their 7th consecutive Division Title in Week 15 of the NFL. The team and Patrick Mahomes extended their wins for the season to a record of  12-3, which is tied for the best in the AFC currently. Their 12th win came against the Seattle Seahawks who themselves are slipping out of a playoff spot. While the result of the match was not unexpected, the weather became the biggest challenge for both teams to tackle. Following the really cold temperatures in Kansas City, Brittany Mahomes shared a 3-word message prior to the game.

The Saturday match-up between the teams was not supposed to be historically cold, but the chilly winds made it hard for those outside their houses. The lowest the temperature reached prior to the game in Kansas City was 3 below zero. While it was not the coldest day in the history of the city. It was enough to make people shiver. Even Brittany Mahomes could not keep up with the cold breeze on Saturday. The 27-year-old tweeted, “Damn it’s cold” leading up to the match.

The fans could not have agreed more with the fitness enthusiast.

This fan even reminded her that even in cold temperatures, her husband is still on fire this season.

This fan advised Brittany to stay warm and safe while having the back of his QB as well.

Brittany has the full support of this fan, who is quite troubled with the weather as well.

One fan expressed how impressive it was to see the team and Mahomes tackle the challenges put up by the winds.

And this fan thinks that even though it is cold, all the excitement following the game will warm the fans up.

The Chiefs did enough to tackle the challenge and put up a convincing performance against the visitors.

Patrick Mahomes gets the job done

The Chiefs brushed past the Seahawks fairly easily. The game ended with a scoreline of 24-10. Besides a field goal in the 2nd quarter, the home defense held the opposition scoreless until late in the 4th quarter. Mahomes was not as efficient as he usually is, never the less he threw for 224 yards and 2 TDs without any interceptions. Furthermore, he rushed for another touchdown, taking the Chiefs clear of any danger.

However, prior to the match, even the Super Bowl-winning quarterback revealed his plans to deal with the cold. “I’ll throw that little neck-warmer thing that I always throw on. It doesn’t look great, but it keeps my neck warm,” Mahomes said via The Kansas City Star. “I’m not a big, like, throw-a-glove-on guy or anything like that, so that’s about it.”
