Former NFL punter Pat McAfee made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday from a hospital room. And no, it is not because the ex-NFL star was sick and needed medical attention. But it is rather because of a more joyous reason that he and his wife Samantha have been waiting for quite a while now. McAfee was at the hospital waiting for the birth of his first child. It was the wait for a new journey toward parenthood. McAfee even stated that he and his wife lost two babies in consecutive years. He even decided on giving up on his FanDuel deal after considering the pregnancy of his wife.

The ex-NFL star has many notable accomplishments in his professional life. Now, McAfee can add another personal laurel to his name, as he and his wife welcome their most precious human into their lives.

McAfee took to social media to share the happy news of becoming proud parents. He shared a post by his wife, who shared beautiful pictures of their daughter Mackenzie Lynn McAfee with fans. Samantha McAfee stated that Lynn made an early debut into the world, two weeks early to be exact, on the 4th of May. A certainly joyous moment for the family, the ex-NFL star could not hold his happiness back, as he captioned the post, “Our beautiful angel.”
