Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores has found himself a new job. After his unfortunate departure from Miami, the future of the coach seemed uncertain. Flores has even sued the NFL for not giving black coaches major roles. Flores has found a new home in Pittsburgh.
After playing with the Dolphins for three seasons, firing him all of a sudden did not feel fair to the HC. Mike Tomlin, the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is the only black HC in the league at the moment. The Steelers have hired Flores as their new senior defensive assistant/linebackers coach.

Brian Flores joins the Steelers on Sunday
Brian Flores was let go by the Miami Dolphins a little over a month ago. He was in the talks with many teams and even landed some interviews. Flores was very close to joining the New York Giants. But a text by Bill Belichick revealed the Giants found their man before the interview even took place. The Giants ended up offering the job to former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
After this unfair treatment by the NFL and some of its franchises, Brian Flores sued the league. He filed a class-action lawsuit in Manhattan’s federal court for racial discrimination.
On Sunday, we learned the Pittsburgh Steelers have hired Flores as their new senior defensive assistant/linebackers coach. The team broke the news on Twitter. The official Steelers account made a tweet captioned, “We have named Brian Flores as our senior defensive assistant/linebackers.”

The lawsuit is still on, but that does not mean Brian Flores is just going to sit at home and relax. The talented coach will always work hard wherever he goes.
Steelers HC Mike Tomlin is glad to have Flores onboard
Ever since the announcement was made about Flores joining Pittsburgh, no one is happier than Mike Tomlin. He Steelers HC said, “I am excited about Brian Flores joining our coaching staff given his history of developing and teaching defensive players during his time in the NFL.” He adds, “Brian’s resume speaks for itself, and I look forward to him adding his expertise to help our team.”
