Gisele Bündchen faced many hardships in her life. While the public sees the glamor, the modeling, and the successful woman, both while married as well as divorced, Gisele has had a tough and grueling life. The model came to the industry fairly young and faced hardships that came with fame at a young age. Contrary to popular belief, Gisele’s stardom came a long time before she married Tom Brady. However, a life of glamor came at a deadly cost.
In her memoir, Gisele talks about the costs of being a model. She speaks about the physical toll modeling took on her. She spoke about how she felt like she was almost poisoning her own body. She also spoke about the heavy toll it took on her mind and the drastic step she almost took to end her pain.

The model spoke about a turning point that took place in her life. She was living the life of dreams, with a high-rise apartment in the Big Apple, overlooking the city. The peaceful chaos of the city did not reflect the supposed peace of a woman of Gisele’s stature. She spoke about the distressing thoughts that she experienced during the height of her career. While looking into hindsight, Gisele spoke about how she pitied her younger self. She mentioned that despite having everything; she felt suffocated in her life. The model also mentioned that she was ready to kill herself and end all of her worries and woes.
While writing her memoir, the model also said, “When I think back on that moment, and that twenty-three-year-old girl, I want to cry. She is so young it almost breaks my heart.” Gisele spoke about the hardships she faced and mentioned the panic attacks that she kept having as a youngster.

Gisele’s battle with anxiety
The model makes it clear in her memoirs that she might have had a glamor-filled life, but she certainly faced struggles due to the coveted lifestyle she followed. There might have been some upsides, like the money and the fame, but Gisele struggled with panic attacks and the aforementioned suicidal thoughts, as per People. She spoke about how things looked perfect from the outside, but the onlookers who envied her lifestyle did not understand the suffering she went through.

However, Gisele has turned her life around. In her 40s, the single Gisele has rediscovered her love for modeling and the platform it gives her. Only time will tell how her second journey as a model is different from the first.
