A piece of big news regarding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB came out. In the last two years, Brady took offs on Thursdays. But they were not frequent. The news comes when the seven-time Super Bowl-winning champion goes through a tough time with his wife, Gisele Bündchen.

The leading passer of the team, Tom Brady, will take leaves every Wednesday for the rest of the 2022 season. The NFL GOAT did so last week and now it will continue. This is the first time in the long career of the star QB he opted for weekly offs.

The off-season proved to be a unique one for Tom Brady and his family. In February, the 45-year-old announced his retirement only to return to the sport. Then, when the training camp started, he went on a pre-planned leave that lasted for eleven days. Some claimed that the MVP-winning quarterback planned and promised a vacation with his family. While some believed took holidays to appear on ‘The Masked Singer.’ However, the latter part was false.

But the one thing to come out of Brady’s absence was the news of his marital problems. Apparently, he disappointed his supermodel wife when he announced his return. Since then, the couple engaged in a huge fight, which resulted in the wife flying off to Costa Rica. And the husband got busy with training.

At the Week 1 game, Gisele Bündchen did not show up to cheer for her husband. But she did wish him all the luck.

Also, during this time, the former runway model flew to New York City during fashion week. Bündchen is trying to relaunch her career, which she put on a hold to take care of her children and support TB12’s career. The leaves granted to Tampa Tom may provide him with the time to spend with his family. Maybe the couple could come out of their estrangement.

The team’s plan while Tom Brady takes rest days

The backup quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Blaine Gabbert, will benefit from the absence of the starting QB. Gabbert will receive more practice than he otherwise would have. Ultimately, this will contribute to the betterment of the team.

The head coach of the team, Todd Bowles, approved the leaves. Players who are as accomplished and experienced as Brady do not have to take part in the practice sessions often. And that, veteran athletes get day offs often, if not frequently.
