Drew Brees, a name that is engraved in the hearts of every Saints Fan around the world. He was one of the most decorated quarterbacks to play in the Black and gold jersey. New Orleans Saints will honor Brees on Saturday’s Thanksgiving game against the Buffalo Bills. The legendary number 9 will return to the Caesar Superdome for the first time after his retirement. The Saints will hold the honoring ceremony at halftime during the Thanksgiving game.

The phenomenal career of Drew Brees at New Orleans Saints
Making his professional football debut in 2001, Drew Brees played for 20 seasons in the NFL. For 15 out of those 20 seasons, after he joined the club in 2006, Drew Brees played as a Saint. Hurricane Drew has made 540 touchdowns in this illustrious career.
There are 13 NFL records to his name including, most career passing yards: 80,358, most touchdowns in a single game, 7, and most seasons with 30 plus passing touchdowns. He is also a 2-time offensive player of the year and Walter Payton Man of the year. Drew Brees has also won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints in the year 2009. He was also the Super Bowl MVP.
The accolades that Brees has achieved through his amazing 20-year career has definitely reserved a spot for him in the NFL Hall of Fame in the near future.

With the help of his four kids, Brees announced he will retire from professional football Back in March, on Instagram. In the post, Drew wrote, “After 20 years as a player in the NFL and 15 years as a Saint, it is time I retire from the game of football.” Brees added, “Each day, I poured my heart & soul into being your Quarterback. Til the very end,” For the plans after returning from competition Drew said, “I am only retiring from playing football, I am not retiring from New Orleans. This is not goodbye, rather a new beginning. Now my real life‘s work begins!”

Drew Brees has joined NBC Sports as a studio analyst and he will make his debut on the same night when the Saints will honor him. This new beginning in his career has made Brees very excited.
