On one hand, there is Joe Burrow who is about to be featured in his first Super Bowl, while, on the other hand, there is Kyler Murray, who is applying pressure on his franchise. Two very talented young quarterbacks, yet two very different stories.

Murray was the first overall pick for the Cardinals in 2019. Since then, he has only brought value to the team. Though he led the franchise to just five wins during his rookie season, he still claimed the Offensive Rookie of the Year that season. In the 2021 season, he helped the Cardinals clinch their first playoff spot since 2015 with an 11 win season including a 7-0 start.

His presence has only given the franchise an increased team success over the years, which they are looking forward to more in their upcoming campaigns. The Cardinals still have two more years of contract left with Murray if they pick up the option after the 2022 season. However, Murray has some other plans.

The quarterback isn’t happy about his contract with the Cardinals. And he expressed his distress pretty boldly through social media. The two-time Pro Bowler has scrubbed every post relating to the Cardinals in his Instagram, leaving just two. One of him after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2018, while the other, playing in the 2021 Pro Bowl.
