Good news for the Titans fans. The King is officially making his return to the field this Saturday. The Tennessee Titans have activated the running back Derrick Henry from IR.
Henry will be a tremendous boost in the Titans’ backfield. The top-seeded Tennessee Titans are set to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals. With the addition of Derrick Henry, this division-round match-up became even more exciting. After Injuring his foot in week 8, this is a big game for the running back to make his return. His foot has been surgically repaired, but Henry hasn’t tasted the NFL action in a minute.

Derrick Henry returning to action
Derrick Henry has played eight regular-season games in this NFL campaign. In those eight games, he rushed for 937 yards and made 10 touchdowns. Henry also made 219 carries. He was leading the league in rushing yards before getting injured in week 8 game. In the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Derrick Henry was the rushing champion. It seemed like the running back was destined to do it again this season, but he hurt his foot.

In week 8, the Tennessee Titans took on the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans won the game with a score of 31-34, but they lost their premier running back to a foot injury. This injury put Derrick on the sidelines for months, and he had to undergo surgery.
Henry was cleared around January 5. It gave him a 21-day window to return to the active roster for the Tennessee Titans. What better time to make a return than the playoffs?

The last time The Titans locked horns with the Bengals was in the 2020 regular season. Derrick Henry was a part of that game. He made a touchdown and had 112 yards on 18 carries. But Tennessee lost that game to the Bengals.

This Saturday the Titans hope for a different result. They had a decent season after losing the RB. The Titans finished on the top of the AFC South table.
