She will remain the highest-ranking female in a football executive position in the league. It will not be unfamiliar territory for Raiche, who was the vice president of football operations with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The position was a result of her promotion before the start of the 2021 NFL season.

Raiche’s new role is part of a major shake-up by the franchise across the different areas within the organization. Some other notable promotions include Glenn Cook, who will take over as the assistant GM and VP of player personnel. Among other promotions, Bob Quinn will be the new senior personnel/coaching executive, while the franchise hired Jimmy Raye as senior executive advisor to the GM.
It is business as usual for the Cleveland Browns and Catherine Raiche
The new Browns assistant GM and VP of football operations has gone through a steady rise throughout her career. She began as an intern with Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes in 2015, marking the start of her journey in pro football. She also spent time with the Toronto Argonauts as their director of football administration before making her presence known in the NFL.
She broke into the league with Eagles GM Howie Roseman, appointing her as their football operations coordinator in 2019.
During her tenure with the Eagles, she formed a working relationship with current Browns GM Andrew Berry. Raiche would eventually follow him to join the Browns franchise in 2020.

She was also close to becoming an NFL GM in 2022. Raiche got a unique opportunity to take over the Minnesota Vikings‘ vacant GM role. While she missed out on her chance with the Vikings, the Browns have shown a greater faith in her abilities. She might be instrumental behind the scenes to ensure a future where the Browns organization enjoys a lot of success.
