The UFC President, Dana White, put the NFL world on a fever. The UFC mega-mind appeared on a live show, UFC 278 with the Gronks. There he announced something which was utterly shocking. He talked about how he designed a deal where the Las Vegas Raiders could have landed the legendary QB Tom Brady and former Patriots’ tight end, Rob Gronkowski.

However, the deal was unsuccessful because of the NFL coach Jon Gruden, who has been with the NFL for a long time.

While at a press conference, reporters asked the 53-year-old UFC President about what he confessed on the live show. He said, “You know I talked Brady into playing for the raiders, and uh Gronk was coming with him and they were negotiating the deal and they were really close to getting it done and then Gruden pulled the deal and Brady was not happy about it neither was I.” 

Would Tom Brady have joined the Raiders?

The NFL GOAT Tom Brady is hands-down one of the best players the game has ever witnessed. So, it comes as no surprise that many teams may want to acquire him. As Tom Terrific would only add value to their rosters. However, Dana White wanted him in with the Raiders for some other reason, it seems like.

TB12 and the UFC President share an amicable relationship. Like many others, White is a huge fan of Brady. A native of Boston, he shifted to Las Vegas. If one adds two and two together, they will understand that Dana White wanted his NFL buddy to stay close to him. Hence, he was determined to get the seven times Super Bowl-winning QB the Raiders contract.

However, that did not go as planned. Even though White tried selling that idea as best as he could. The Raiders HC put his faith in the Youngblood QB Derek Carr and Tom Brady ended up signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With them, he won his seventh Super Bowl ring in his first season!
