The soon-to-be 45-year-old NFL legend Tom Brady gets a new offensive weapon. It will be an exciting pair to watch on-field after Brady lost his prime WR, Rob Gronkowski. Former Titans’ WR and seven-time Pro-Bowler joins the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a one-year contract. The receiver has big hopes for himself and, joining hands with Tom Brady, adds to his ambition of winning a Super Bowl.
Julio Jones, the 33-year-old, future Hall of Famer prospect, is optimistic about Brady and his Super Bowl chances. Therefore, signing a contract with the Buccaneers looked like a win-win deal to him. Jones spent 10 illustrious seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and one season with the Tennessee Titans.

Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement earlier in July, prompting the Buccaneers to sign a robust offensive corp. Jones is joining an already strong offensive lineup with the likes of Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and newcomer Russel Gage. While Godwin recovers from an ACL tear in the rehab, Julio’s inclusion comes as a relief before the season kick starts.
Moreover, Jones spent the majority of the last season injured. He produced just 31 receptions for 434 yards and only one touchdown in 10 games played. However, the WR managed to return for the Titans’ playoff run, recording six catches for 62 yards in their Divisional Round loss to the Bengals.
Fans react to the new offensive weapon of Tom Brady
NFL fans went on Twitter to troll Brady for adding Julio Jones to the Buccaneers. Many commented on Brady having no more excuses for losing the Super Bowl next season after Jones joining the team with Lombardi-winning ambitions.
