Brad Pitt is obviously backing the Kansas City Chiefs over everyone else to win the Super Bowl. The franchise is playing the AFC championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. And they are just a win away from their third Super Bowl appearance in four seasons. Such a dominant display is bound to get the franchise some high-profile fans in Pitt’s circle.
“Chiefs, baby!” the actor told TMZ about his Super Bowl LVII preference.
The pick shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, especially the actor’s fans. Pitt is a Missouri native and grew up in Springfield, at the heart of the Chiefs kingdom. So, his support for his hometown franchise is natural.
Pitt is pinning all his hopes on the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, who has continued his dominant vein of form. Mahomes is facing his nemesis in Joe Burrow and the Bengals. It will be anything but a cakewalk.
It is showtime
This is the most exciting part of the whole NFL season. The postseason nears conclusion and the preparation for the ultimate finale is in the final stages. But there is some unfinished business yet, the crowning of the conference champions.
The NFL world will get both the conference champions on Sunday. But Pitt will closely watch the Chiefs as Patrick Mahomes eyes revenge for defeat at the same stage last year. On the other hand, Joe Burrow doesn’t want to ruin his phenomenal record against the Chiefs. It promises to be a mouthwatering clash.
Mahomes has never beaten Burrow, be it the regular season or the playoffs.
