For the last couple of weeks, Deion Sanders caught headlines for his unexpected transition from Jackson State to Colorado. Leaving HBCU became a hot decision and irked several fans out there who called out the veteran for making such moves. However, NFL analysts like Skip Bayless resorted to backing the Hall of Famer and made huge predictions regarding his tenure at Colorado.
During his three seasons at Jackson State, Deion Sanders almost achieved everything and plunged into his roots as a great college coach. Not to mention, his legacy in the pro football world is undisputed, just like his coaching skills. Recently, Skip Bayless made his predictions in the recent episode of UNDISPUTED, claiming that Sanders has the magic Midas touch.
"I believe Deion Sanders can win a National Championship at Colorado within 4-5 years. Whatever he chooses to do it’s going to work because he’s got the magic Midas touch."

“He is the rarest of whatever he chooses to do. It’s going to work because he’s got the magic Midas touch to him.” Bayless said, praising the former cornerback. “And now he has thrust himself in into the eye of the college football storm where I think even Coach Saban and Coach Harbaugh, they’re looking sideways saying, Oh, is he coming? right? yep, he’s coming. he’s coming for all of you.”
“And I believe that within five years, he could win a national championship at Colorado. Maybe that’s even too long. Maybe I should do four years. but he is off to a flying start” he explained with confidence. His companion on the show Shannon Sharpe also acknowledged the claims. Well, the highlight of the discussion was Bayless taking shots at the big names in this field, Nick Saban and Jim Harbaugh.
Although winning the games consistently happens to be a trend for Sanders in his coaching career, things might change in his new gig, especially because the conditions are quite different. Recruiting the players and developing them in all aspects happens to be a far cry. It’s yet to be seen how much impact Sanders creates inside the locker room in a new environment.
Fans disagree with Skip Bayless’ assessment of Deion Sanders
All those three years for Sanders at JSU turned out to be a great tenure in his professional career. Leading the team towards a 12-0 undefeated streak and motivating them to dream big became the highlights of his job. But this time, fans weren’t ready to accept Bayless’ predictions, especially the Championship ones.

Deion won’t even make it to the pac 12 championship game in his tenure at Colorado

He couldn’t even win one at Jackson State. Lost the championship twice in a row.

Prime will never win a championship in Colorado. Maybe at a bigger school but definitely not Colorado.
