The Von Miller update
Von Miller is a tough nut. Even a season-ending ACL injury cannot seem to dampen his spirits. After going through surgery for his injury, the Bills linebacker sent a very positive message to the Bills Mafia who were worried about him missing the rest of the season. The LB promised them that he will be right back from the injury he sustained against the Lions.
“Bills Mafia, what’s good? I’m good, man. I’ma be right back, man,” Miller said in a video from the hospital bed. He then went on to give an update about his mental health.
“Mentally, I couldn’t be in a better spot, and I think that is the majority of it. Don’t feel sorry for me, don’t say I hate it for you — none of that stuff ’cause I am good!” Miller added.
The Bills initially thought it was a knee injury, but it was later confirmed that the athlete had in fact torn his ACL.
The postseason hopes
The Bills had signed Von Miller before this season to give them the edge they have so far lacked in the postseason. The franchise has made it to the playoffs in all of the last three seasons but couldn’t make a single Super Bowl appearance. They lost twice to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Conference Championship in 2020, and the divisional round last season. So signing Miller was the step they needed to make it to the Super Bowl.
The Bills are currently the top-seed contenders and have everything ready for a shot at the Vince Lombardi Trophy. But they would have to do it without taking any help from Miller.
