The Buffalo Bills were one of the stronger teams in the NFL, with a well-rounded team in the 2022 season. With a powerful defense, the Bills also boasted a prolific offensive department, with Stefon Diggs as their WR who also lead the league in catches and yards in 2020. Along with Diggs, they also have QB Josh Allen, who is arguably one of the top five QBs currently in the NFL. Drafted in 2018 as the eighth overall pick, Allen possesses mobility and a great arm, which puts him at an advantage over other traditional pocket passers in the league.

But it is not just the QB’s physical prowess that has become a point of discussion. Recently Josh Allen revealed one of his cheeky in-game call-outs during the Bussin With the Boys podcast with Will Compton and Taylor Lewan. And this left ex-NFL star Pat McAfee and his team in awe over Allen’s football IQ.

During one of their recent episodes, McAfee talked about how Josh Allen and how he became a prolific QB since being drafted in 2018. He talked about how the way Allen dissects defenses and figures out loopholes about where to attack to have the best chances for a touchdown. This is when he brought up a clip from his recent podcast with Compton and Lewan, where they have a conversation about Allen’s IQ when it comes to tearing down defenses.

In the clip, we see Josh Allen talking about playing against Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler. He said that when they play the Chargers and decide to attack Ekeler, they would call it a “milk check”. When Compton asked what it meant, the Bills’ QB said that it was “pretty self-explanatory”. Milk Check basically meant playing against white defensive players. Compton found himself relating to the term, as he went on to talk about how he was also the only white defensive player for his teams during his NFL tenure.

And it seems that Will Compton has grown fond of this term, as he used it to describe another LB that the Kansas City Chiefs signed this offseason.

After trading out Juju Smith-Schuster, the Chiefs went on to sign free agent Drue Tranquill back in March. And recently, Tranquill opened up about what led to him deciding to join the Chiefs. He said that HC Andy Reid was directly involved in his recruitment, who texted him saying “Think red” and “Think Super Bowls.” This led to the 27-year-old defensive player feeling “really valued”, as he now preps to make his debut beside Patrick Mahomes on the field. Compton shared the story on Twitter while captioning it as “Check ‘milk’”, which seems to point to the fact that Allen now may have to use his call-out during their games against the Chiefs as well.
