The Bills traveled to MetLife Stadium for their AFC East matchup with New York Jets. Both teams, in their prime, entered the contest with a winning record. The visitors from the other side of New York were favorites for the game. However, in a close game, the Jets came out on top. Stefon Diggs took to the podium post-game to give a rundown on their loss.

Buffalo Bills QB was highly criticized for his below-par performance in his side’s loss. Apart from his poor outing, one of his poor throws was also responsible for the outcome of the game. Amid criticism for the 26-year-old quarterback, Stefon Diggs backs his teammate post their loss.

Tough day to be a Bills fan

Despite the loss, the Bills remain on top of the AFC East. However, the loss meant a reduction in their lead advantage. The Bills started off the game well as they went into the half with a 14-10 lead. Failing to hang onto the lead, Allen was criticized heavily as he failed to get the Bills a touchdown in the second half.

Throughout the game, Allen didn’t throw a single touchdown. Both touchdowns came from him going on rushing benders. He completed 18 of his attempted 34 passes. In the process, he was also intercepted twice. The last interception ended up coming when they were in the lead and it resulted in a Jets touchdown, knocking the Bills off their lead.

Stefon Diggs gets behind his quarterback

As Allen got vocal post-game about taking the blame for the loss, his teammates got behind him and came out in support. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, also known for being a leader, expressed his thoughts on this. On catching the L to their fellow New York organization, he didn’t seem too bothered .“It’s the flow of the season. Good things are going to happen Bad things are going to happen,” said Diggs.

He went on to say how Allen has been critical in their success this year. “We’ve seen Josh make a lot of plays. He made a lot of plays today,” Diggs added. Being the leader he is, he also went on to say that they win as a team and lose as a team and there wasn’t anyone to be blamed. “There’s nothing totally on him. Especially offensively you work as a unit so it’s about getting back on the grind getting back to being us,” continued Diggs. 

 

Even despite the loss, he was all praises for his quarterback. “Turnovers are going to happen. Our quarterback is the best quarterback in the league. He can do no wrong. Of course, he’s going to be harder on himself. From my end, we can do some things better,” Stefon re-emphasized. He said that in the end it’s all about total team effort.

Stefon Diggs and crew rally behind their teammate as good teammates do. This is a positive showing for a championship-contending team. The Bills take on the Vikings next Sunday at home as they look to re-start a winning streak.
